Eating in Istanbul

Istanbul is the most important touristic city in Turkey because of its historical landmarks and amazing natural landscapes. However, the gastronomy has been since the last years another important reason that attracts thousands of people from different parts of Europe and Asia. The food has become one of the principal attractions in one city or country.

In fact, the cuisine can explain better the historical background of a region, more than a several museum or a simple landmark. That is why many people have put more attention to this tendency lately. Turkey is not the exception; visitors can find a big variety of exquisite restaurants that offer international and local dishes. Turmeric is a main ingredient in Turkey cuisine.
